    Ayesha’s Story of SGBV and Displacement

    Ayesha’s story is one among many women stuck in forced displacement. The comic illustrates the lengthy and perilous journey refugee women undertake to seek sanctuary.Sandra Pertek met Ayesha in Southern Tunisia during her PhD fieldwork in 2019. Untold Migrant Stories project in collaboration with Emma Brown presents Ayesha’s story to raise awareness on the gendered harms many forced migrants face in their experiences of displacement.
